Sound of the City

I woke this morning to sounds of the city – one most familiar – buses that exhale forcefully whenever they have to move forward after picking up new passengers.  I think of the people who get up to go to work while it is still dark so that they will be ready to serve people wanting to grab that first cup of coffee or the health care people who relieve others  who are weary and want to so go home to their families. It is a good sound, the sound of the city -the sound I was born into.

Yes, Judy . . . I love the sounds of the city and sometimes miss it. I do, however, so much love the sounds of the loons and the trains running in the night. I love it up here…
